School of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Founded in 1956, the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine is the earliest established teaching department of BUCM. At present, it has developed into a word-renowned center for Chinese Medicine education and is known for its excellent reputation and significant achievements in the terms of Chinese Medicine theory, clinical practice, and research.
The School provides top-quality teaching and research in both western and Chinese medicine, as well as a wide range of optional courses, aiming to improve students’ interdisciplinary knowledge in the fields of humanities, and social and natural sciences.
It offers preclinical programs for both undergraduates and postgraduates (master and doctoral degree). Well-acknowledged research teams of the School play a leading role in national-level research projects on the theories of TCM, clinical effectiveness evaluation and mechanism of TCM interventions.
