The Third School of Clinical Medicine is a first-class integrated Chinese and Western medicine hospital, which assumes the responsibility for medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, disease prevention, health care and rehabilitation. It is a key hospital supported by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a hospital directly under the Ministry of Education. It has two institutes, namely Institute of Modern Application of Ancient Formulas and Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology.
