Dongfang Hospital is a first-class hospital, which takes on multiple roles including medical care delivery, disease prevention, teaching, and research.
It provides a comprehensive range of medical services within one complex. Since its inception, it has carried out 1,234 research projects, including the National Key Research Project, Youth Science Fund Project, National 973 Project, etc. It has presided over 131 national projects and 224 provincial projects, among which 69 projects won the Science and Technology Achievement Awards at all levels. As the 2nd affiliated hospital of BUCM, it has perfect profession of teaching and hierarchical structure, i.e. 5-year and (5+3)-year programs, programs for international students, doctoral and master candidates, post-doctors and master-apprentice education.
