The Museum of Chinese Medicine
The Museum of Chinese Medicine, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM), was founded in 1990. It is a professionally-managed museum with a rich collection of traditional Chinese medicinal relics and medicinal substances. The museum consists of two separate exhibition halls----Chinese Medical History and Chinese Materia Medica, which together cover an area of 1500 square meters.
Since the museum’s establishment, it has played an important role in teaching students and professionals, carrying out scientific research, promoting nationwide and international academic exchange, and educating the general public about Chinese medicine. In 2004, the Digital Museum of Chinese Medicine was created in order to educate the public about Chinese medicine, through the internet.
