In 2016, BUCM cooperated with the Medical College of the University of Barcelona in Spain to launch a master’s degree program in Traditional Chinese Medicine. This is the first TCM master’s degree program opened at a well-known medical school of a European university with the support of a Chinese university, which has played an important role in promoting the cooperation between TCM and the mainstream medical system in the EU. In 2019, our university cooperated with the Transylvania University of Brasov in Romania to carry out a master’s degree program in TCM for Western medicine practitioners which is another historic breakthrough within the EU system under the "16+1 " framework.
