On May 18, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) hosted the Zhongguancun Forum on Digital Empowerment in the Chinese Medicine (CM) Industry. The event took place at BUCM's Heping Street Campus, gathering leaders from the Beijing Science and Technology Commission, Zhongguancun Science Park, and experts from the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.

The forum, themed "Digital Empowerment, Cross-Border Integration, Collaborative Transformation," aimed to integrate digital technology with the CM industry in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. BUCM Vice President Liu Cunzhi emphasized digital empowerment as a key driver for CM development, while Li Changling, director of the Beijing Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Service Center, highlighted the importance of technology transfer.

Key presentations included topics like intelligent technologies in CM research and digital transformation practices. Notable speakers were Yang Hongjun, vice president of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, and Zhang Zhengjun, dean of BUCM's School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

A major highlight was the unveiling of the "National Medical Collaborative Education and Innovation Platform—CM Intelligent Manufacturing Platform," in collaboration with leading TCM companies. The event also showcased BUCM's advancements in intelligent manufacturing and rapid testing equipment.

Additionally, the forum featured policy presentations on digital healthcare industry development in Beijing's Chaoyang district, providing strategic guidance for TCM innovation.

As part of the Zhongguancun Forum series, this event facilitated the integration of digital technology with the CM industry, creating a high-level platform for innovation in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. BUCM aims to continue driving industry transformation through technological innovation, contributing to national health and economic development.
