President Paulo warmly welcomed the BUCM delegation, highlighting Brazil's integration of acupuncture and traditional herbal therapies into its Unified Health System. He noted that the recent legalization and standardization of acupuncture practices in Brazil provide a robust legal framework for the growth of traditional Chinese medicine (CM) in the country. Unicamp is eager to collaborate with BUCM to establish a CM center focused on acupuncture education and natural medicine research.

Vice President Wang emphasized CM as a cultural treasure and a vital link for Sino-Brazilian cooperation. BUCM aims to collaborate with Unicamp to establish a CM center, focusing on acupuncture and Chinese medicine. The partnership will leverage Brazil's supportive policies to enhance higher education cooperation, develop a talent cultivation system, and facilitate faculty exchanges. Additionally, the collaboration will utilize Brazil's rich medicinal plant resources for joint research and health product development, promoting the modernization and internationalization of traditional medicine.
