National Center for Chinese Medicine Education Development

The National Center for Chinese Medicine Education Development, established by Beijing University of Chinese Medicine under the commission of the Ministry of Education, is dedicated to promoting the reform and development of Chinese medicine (CM) education in China. The center gathers experts and scholars in CM education nationwide to conduct research and provides a platform for communication and exchange among CM universities across the country.

It is mainly responsible for policy and educational research in CM education, training of educational administrators, information services, quality evaluation and accreditation, as well as providing secretariat support for key expert organizations. Specifically, the center undertakes the following tasks:

1. Conducting policy research and offering decision-making consultation on major issues regarding CM education reform and development;

2. Organizing and delivering training programs for administrators in CM education and teaching;

3. Integrating CM education-related information and resources, developing a public platform for educational resources and facilitating data sharing and information services in the field;

4. Carrying out quality evaluation in CM education;

5. Promoting international exchange and cooperation in CM education;

6. Undertaking secretariat services for key expert organizations in CM education.
